Testimonials
I volunteer because I truly like helping people. It makes me feel like I am making a difference in someone's life. Breast cancer awareness is very personal for me. Diagnosed at 41, I am now a 22 year warrior. At the time I was diagnosed, I felt the need to speak about my diagnoses and my journey. Many do not. For me I needed to get the word out that it could happen to anyone. I made the decision to speak up and bring awarness and take action by volunteering. Hopefully to become a voice for so many in their breast cancer journeys.
Caring in Our Lifetime is an amazing nonprofit organization that serves women and men with breast cancer in the local communities of Horry and Georgetown counties. Not only do they provide financial support, but they truly “care” about each person as they battle breast cancer. Thank you to the entire Caring in Our Lifetime team, for all you do to support those fighting the good fight!
Giving back to the community is an important part of who I am. There are so many people in need and this is just a small way I can pay it forward to help local breast cancer patients. As a survivor myself, I can attest, even with health insurance, the medical bills can be overwhelming, especially when you are out of work due to surgeries and treatments. It's important to me 95% of all funds raised go to the recipients.
